2011 Pre-Season News and Running Program

The pre season running program we hope will achieve a few goals and set up our season.

  • Goal 1 - Over the month of February the focus will be on long slow distance with the aim of of achieving a non stop run of 30 minutes to a max of 45 minutes.
  • Goal 2 - All players should try for two sessions a week, one with the club arranged training night, and one by your self or with friends
  • Goal 3 - The second week of March we will start on the running program as attached below, again the aim will be to conduct a Long Slow Distance based on time of 30 minutes  with each player then completing the fast running schedule, again once with the club training and once with team mates or by yourself.

Conclusion

This program should assist us in raising our level of fitness and general wellbeing.  

Please encourage and discuss this program with your Coaches  and discuss and encourage active participation

See you all Wednesday at Preston Point, please bring runners, a drink and your lacrosse stick.
