The Board would
like to announce the membership fees for season 2012 in advance of our
Registration Day this Sunday 26 February 2012 at 11am.
With a greater
understanding of our external costs we are able to ensure
the fee structure this year covers the minimum amount required to remain
financially viable. We have tried to
provide a fairer system where players not available to play the whole season
can opt to pay for a half season or social membership.
The Board also
recognises that through extended bar opening hours and more social events in
2012 we should increase revenue and profit. In view of this we have decided to reduce all
fees by 15-20% compared to those in 2011.
This strategy is
aimed to keep lacrosse affordable to all players however its success relies
heavily on members paying their fees as soon as possible.

*Fundraising option to discount this fee further # Can play 1-3 games ^ Social Memberships are not compulsory and
will be available all year around.
We have
introduced a couple of new membership categories to cater for all players and
to encourage non players to the Club.
All players will
automatically receive free social membership as part of their fees. For senior players this also includes your
spouse and children under 18. Parents,
friends, supporters etc will be encouraged to take up a social membership
throughout the year.
Social
membership will have real tangible benefits such as – member’s discount on
merchandise, reduced ticket prices to social functions and free workshops and
interactive activities throughout the year.
We have invested
in a new mobile EFTPOS machine. Our
committee members will be available with the machine at training nights and
game days to assist our members with their fee payments.
As a final note
- the Board is willing to pass on further discounts in fees (in the form of
reduced costs to the annual wind-up or lower fees in 2013) in the event we turn
a profit over and above budget forecasts.
This outcome largely rests with your support and the payment of fees –
so please get behind us in 2012!
On behalf of the
Board we wish everyone an enjoyable season.
